Do I need a sailing licence?

Yes. Under regulations in force since 2013, a sailing licence is required on inland waters (including the Great Masurian Lakes) to skipper a yacht longer than 7.5 m. The yachts offered on our website exceed this length.

What is included in the charter price?

The price includes a fully equipped yacht ready to sail: sails, outboard engine, a full gas bottle, battery, drinking water, a full fuel tank, chemical toilet, cleaning supplies, and yacht insurance (hull & liability). Mooring fees at other ports and fuel used during the cruise are covered by the charterer.

Can I cancel or change my booking date?

In case of cancellation of the rental, the Charterer bears the following costs: 1. 50% of the deposit amount if the cancellation occurs no later than 60 days before the Yacht Handover Date, 2. 100% of the deposit amount if the cancellation occurs later than 60 days before the Yacht Handover Date, Booking changes are subject to individual cases.

How much is the deposit and when is it refunded?

The deposit ranges from 2,000 to 3,000 PLN depending on the size of the yacht and is collected at pick-up. We refund it in full on the day the yacht is returned, provided it is returned undamaged and with all equipment complete.

What time do I pick up and return the yacht?

Pick-up on the first day of the charter is between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The yacht must be returned by 11:00 am on the last day. Pick-up and return take place at our port - AZS Wilkasy near Giżycko, ul. Niegocińska 5.

Can I bring my dog on board?

Yes, most of our yachts accept dogs. Please indicate this option when booking - a small additional cleaning fee will be added.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Masuria is an inland water region, so we do not interrupt charters due to weather. In case of strong winds we recommend staying in port. Guests are required to exercise particular caution and follow good seamanship practice. Under the Inland Waterway Navigation Regulations (§1.04), the person in command of the vessel is obliged to take all measures arising from good seamanship practice to prevent hazards, even if a specific situation is not described in the detailed regulations.

How does the booking process work?

You choose a yacht and dates in our online calendar, fill in the form and confirm the booking with a 30% deposit. By e-mail you will receive the contract in one copy – you do not have to send it back signed: paying the deposit means you accept the terms and conditions and the contract. You pay the remainder when picking up the yacht. You will receive an automatic email confirmation.

Can I rent a yacht for just a weekend?

During the main season (June-August) charters run on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday). In the pre- and post-season, as well as in last-minute offers, shorter periods are also available - check the search engine on our website.

Can children sail on board?

Yes, MUNDI CZARTER yachts are suitable for families with children. A life jacket is required for every child on board - we provide them as part of the equipment set. We recommend that children keep their life jacket fastened at all times while on the water. For children under 5 years old, please contact us in advance so we can provide a suitably fitted life jacket.

What are the port fees and where can I moor?

Port fees are charged separately by each marina and usually amount to 5-25 PLN per metre of yacht length per day. They are not included in the charter price. Marinas in Masuria accept cash; more and more also accept cards, but it is worth having cash with you. Along the Great Masurian Lakes routes, mooring to a buoy, jetty or quay is possible at dozens of marinas and harbours.

What should I pack for the cruise?

The essentials are: shoes with white (non-marking) soles (mandatory), a rain jacket, a warm fleece, a sleeping bag or blanket, towels (not provided on the yacht), sunscreen and mosquito repellent. How much does a yacht charter in Masuria cost?

Weekly charter prices at MUNDI CZARTER start from 2,800 PLN (smallest yachts outside the peak season) up to 6,370 PLN (largest yachts in peak season). Where exactly is the port and how do I get there?

Our port is located in Wilkasy near Giżycko, ul. Niegocińska 5, on the shore of Lake Niegocin. By car: from Warsaw approx. 3 hours (road S61 towards Suwałki, Giżycko exit). Nearest railway station: Wilkasy (check timetable availability), Giżycko (approx. 4 km from the port). Airport: Olsztyn-Mazury (approx. 75 km). GPS coordinates: 54.0194° N, 21.7831° E.

Why is Giżycko called the sailing capital of Poland?

Giżycko lies in the heart of the Great Masurian Lakes and is a waterway junction connecting the lakes Niegocin, Mamry, Tałty and Śniardwy. This is where the country's biggest regattas, licence courses and sailing events have been held for decades. Are last-minute offers the same as a standard charter?

Yes. The yachts in our last-minute offer are exactly the same units we offer under standard bookings - with full equipment, insurance and owner support. Pływanie Północną Gwiazdą to czysta przyjemność. Jacht prowadzi się znakomicie przy niewielkich wiatrach, ale też daje poczucie kontroli i bezpieczeństwa przy trudniejszych warunkach. Fantastycznie wyposażony: ekspres do kawy, pojemna lodówka i wszystko czego potrzeba do komfortowego żeglowania. Dodatkowym atutem jest piękne, jasne, eleganckie wnętrze z dodatkowymi okienkami w kajutach i roletkami - dzięki czemu komfort na pokładzie jest na najwyższym poziomie. Super jacht polecam każdemu, bardzo zadbany i świetnie zrobiony. dobrze pływa, bezproblemowy, armator profesjonalny i kontaktowy. Jacht jako Antila 26cc w niespotykanej wersji, chyba jedyny w takiej na Mazurach. Ja będę wracał na Północną Gwiazdę na 100% - jak szukacie niezawodnego a w dodatku mega komfortowego jachtu to tutaj to znajdziecie.
